She may have made her Golden Globes debut Sunday night as an ambassador, but NBCLX contributor Satchel Lee, daughter of Oscar-winning director Spike Lee, wants you to know there's a lot more on her mind than handing out trophies and escorting award winners off of a stage.

Following in her father's footsteps, Lee is a filmmaker and photographer. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she's created short films and fashion videos as well as co-directed a video about the Gucci Changemakers project in 2020, shedding light on how the brand has raised $2 million to aid diverse communities.

As a part of her role at the Golden Globes, Lee chose a charity organization to receive a $25,000 grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Lee, the first openly queer ambassador, partnered with New York's Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, which is dedicated to providing medical health care to the city's LGBTQ population without regard to the ability to pay.

Lee, 26, recently hosted a series for NBCLX titled "Sincerely, Gen Z," in which she interviewed young people from across the country about their struggles, hopes and ambitions for themselves and the world. Watch the full series below:
