13th St. Meats Sets Up Pop-Up in Pharmacy Bar

Saturday afternoon, nom on sausages from chorizo to spicy Thai chicken to roasted poblano & more

Get some gourmet sausage on Saturday afternoon when local tube steak maker Scott McIntosh of 13th St. Meats whips out his goodies at a pop-up shop inside Pharmacy Bar in Adams Morgan. In case you were wondering, this is the same guy who supplies the tasty franks for U Street Music Hall's unique pho dogs. Available varieties include McIntosh's take on the indigenous half-smoke, plus chorizo, spicy Thai chicken, roasted poblano, bratwurst, and even smoked duck. Vacuum packs of four cost $8 to $15. The pop-up runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Pre-order yours by emailing 13thStMeats@gmail.com.

Meanwhile, across 18th Street NW, A.M. Wine Shoppe (2122 18th St. NW) is celebrating its new beer inventory with a beer-focused session of its regular Saturday Sips event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring free tastings led by George Manolatos, bar manager and co-owner of Cashion's Eat Place.

Coming up: on Sunday, Bourbon Steak and The Majestic host "Mad Men" viewing parties, while ChurchKey debuts the latest offering from popular craft brewer New Belgium, a sour brown ale called La Folie.
