Harem Nights. Impress all your friends with your new middle eastern belly dancing skills after attending a free session of dancing lessons at Meze. Instructors give lessons for free every Sunday so you can become a pro at no cost to you. Meze is located at 2437 18th St NW. Karaoke at Cobalt.Dupont Circle’s gay bar Cobalt brings you Karaoke Night. It’s all new and starts at 9 p.m. Smirnoff cocktails are $2 all night. Cobalt is located at 1639 R St. NW.

Slam Poetry. Think you know how to throw down clever lines of rhythmic perfection? Test your slam poetry skills at the open mic at Teaism at Penn Quarter on Sunday nights. The event starts at 7 p.m. and costs $5. Teasim is located at 400 8th St NW. Call 202-638-6010 for more information.
