We Promised No Soon-Yi Jokes … So … Um …

... Want a free movie ticket for tonight?

Tomorrow, check out an early screening of Woody Allen's newest comedy, "Whatever Works" … for FREE? That's right, Nerve.com and Sony Picture Classics are hosting a free screening of the movie at Regal Cinemas at Gallery Place (707 7th St. NW) at 7:30 p.m.

"Whatever Works" features Larry David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") as Allen's stand-in, an eccentric New Yorker who abandons his upper class life for a bohemian existence and … wait for it … seduces a much younger woman, played by Evan Rachel Wood. Sounds familiar, huh? (Trying ... so hard ... not to bring you-know-who into this.)

No word on whether his new flick is any good, but given his recent success (think Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona), we're thinking that Allen might really be back after so many years of uncomfortably boring movies. At any rate, our fingers are crossed. Because it's a free showing, and we would be investing so much.

"Whatever Works" opens in DC July 3. See it before the masses by RSVPing here.
