The Washington Ballet, generally seen as more risk-taking than most of the city's classical ballet offerings, announced its 2011-2012 season yesterday. The lineup includes a full-length ballet based on Alice In Wonderland, an encore performance of last year's critical favorite "The Great Gatsby", and a program based on the works of contemporary-dance icon Twyla Tharp. The performances will take place at various venues throughout the city, with several happening at the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater. Click here for a look at the full schedule.
