Come Sunday, there'll be cocktails, food and more than a brimful of music for your 45 at the Third Annual DC Record Fair.
For all you youngsters, a record is what some of us used to listen to way back when, before music got wiped clean of all flavor. You know, those round, flat black plastic things in moldy paper sleeves that your parents have stashed somewhere in the basement.
There's a whole subculture of vinyl lovers out there just waiting to sample the goods from the 25+ dealers from up and down the East Coast coming to the fair. And some of them are your age.
This year's fair runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and, according to The Vinyl District, there will be "cocktails and great food courtesy of hosts Comet Ping Pong." Plus celebrity DJ's and free ping-pong, all for the low, low entry fee of $2.
So ditch the iPod and get your hands on a real 12-inch.
