Viewers Show Support For Access' Octu-Mom Ban

On Tuesday, Access Hollywoodannounced we would no longer be covering the saga of Nadya Suleman and her octuplets, unless a legitimate news story surfaces from the Octu-mom circus.

The decision was met with overwhelming support from our audience, as many of you chose to write in, voicing your opinions on the matter.

Here are just a few of the hundreds of e-mails we received on the decision…

"Thank you very much for refusing to cover any more stories about the "octomom." She is disgusting and is a slap in the face to all women who have struggled with infertility and have had to go down the route of IVF. Women and men who struggle with infertility face enough stigma in their (our) lives and she does not help the progress we have made. I salute you, Access Hollywood, for taking this stand. I only wish other news organizations would do the same and that no one would pay her (or her family) a dime for their time or story." – Monica

"Thank you, thank you, thank you - for your decision to NOT cover any more of that B.S. You have just become my ONLY celebrity news program!! Everyone else is feeding into EXACTLY what she wanted - attention - notoriety - fame. Instead of concern for 14 kids - 3 with "challenges" - who even a wealthy family would have trouble taking care of. Did I say THANK YOU? I'm very impressed!!!" – Loraine

"Thank you so much for speaking up and being the FIRST to say no more rewarding this woman. I am tired of hearing about this story and flip every channel that speaks about it. In the DC area, Access and another entertainment show are on at the same time so I usually flip from one to another. But last night when I heard the host say, "we will not reward, only report." I will no longer watch that other show again. I am a strict Access Hollywood fan because of the stand your show is taking. Thank you again and keep up the great work." – Jody

"THANK YOU! Billy Bush for putting it out there that you will NOT be reporting the story on this SELFISH Octomom, much less reward her with any $. I hope she realizes what she's done and the burden she will place on ALL of us (CA Taxpayers). These children are innocent. The doctor is not. Let the media go after HIM and flip him the bill, then seek loving homes for those 8 children. They deserve to be happy and not live in a circus." – Stephanie

"I just wanted to thank you for pulling the plug on Octomom!!! I'm sick of her and she does NOT deserve any more fame or attention, she needs mental help. Thank you so much!!!" – Maria

"I would like to applaud the decision of Access Hollywood to no longer air stories about the Octu-mom. You have demonstrated the difference between entertainment reporting and tabloid reporting. You should be commended and your peers should see the wisdom of that decision." - Kevin

"I just want to congratulate the Access Hollywood team for not showing any of the stories dealing with the Octu-mom and the horrific pictures of Rihanna. When Billy did his message at the end of the show last night, I stood up and applauded. Your show has a lot of class, unlike some other entertainment shows. Keep up the great work. And a shout out to Nancy, good luck on DWTS." – Sheri

"Hooray for Access Hollywood! I am so tired of listening to stories about Octu-mom. She is clearly neurotic and out of touch with reality. The fourteen victims in this situation deserve better. Thank you for taking a stand against coverage of this pathetic story." – Susan

"I want to CONGRATULATE Access Hollywood on its decision not to exploit and take advantage of the horrible and disgusting story about the Octuplets. Those poor babies are struggling in the hospital, and it is disturbing when a mother allows cameras to invade their very, very delicate space. My twins were premies, and it just makes me ill to watch other shows literally exploit this story. That mother should be put in jail or an insane asylum, and those babies taken away from her. What kind of adults will they become! I am so proud of ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, for making a point. There are too many trashy shows out there." – Sylvia

"I hope everyone will follow your lead about the Octu-mom. She's just doing all of this for money. If everyone would stop maybe she'll get a job!" – Dell

"Good for you Access Hollywood. It's refreshing to hear that one entertainment news show is not buying into the media circus this woman has created." – Kay

"Thank you very much for deciding NOT to cover this train wreck. There is far too much coverage already and Access Hollywood's choice to not take part has earned my respect." - Kimberley
