A suspect in the fatal shooting of an Olney man was identified and arrested.
Gennaro Fato, 74, was shot in his driveway after returning home with his wife on Jan. 23. She went inside but heard voices coming from the garage, according to police. She said she saw two masked men with a long-barreled gun confronting Fato and called police.
Spiro Mehilli, 25, is charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
Mehilli, a friend of Fato’s stepson, was linked to the shooting through DNA obtained at the crime scene and DNA obtained during an interview with Mehilli.
