A special election to fill Virginia's House of Delegates 46th District will be held Jan. 13.
Democrat Charniele Herring and Republican Joe Murray will run to replace Democrat Brian Moran, who resigned on Dec. 12 so he could campaign for full time for governor in 2009.
The district includes parts of Alexandria and Fairfax County.
