The Washington Auto Show opens to the public on Friday, Jan. 28, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The show offers a 10-day showcase of hot cars, sports stars and, yes, even Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
As she's not famous for actually doing anything other than being famous, Snooki will just be signing autographs Monday, Jan. 31, beginning at 6:30 p.m. More interesting will be where she winds up after her appearance ends at 8:30 p.m.
Current and former Washington Redskins players Chris Cooley, Mike Sellers and Hall of Famer Darrell Green also will make appearances.
The 2011 show will feature, for the second year in a row, the “Advanced Technology SuperHighway,” a 65,000-square-foot display housing the latest automotive innovations in safety and sustainability from electric vehicles to biofuel technologies.
Winners of the fuel-efficient Progressive X Prize will be on display, as well as the Buckeye Bullet, which, topping 300 mph, is the fastest electric car to date.
