Showers and Storms Move Through DC Area

Storms moved through the D.C. area early Thursday evening and more storms are likely on Friday.

Storm Team4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer said parts of D.C. saw hail, thunder and lightning.

Severe weather has subsided for the most part, but isolated showers could happen overnight, Storm Team4 said.

Thursday night is expected to be mild and humid with lows in the 60s.

Friday will be hot and humid with highs in the low to mid 80s and a mix of clouds and sunshine. A few late day showers and storms are possible, mainly north and west of the D.C. area.

There is a better chance for evening and overnight rain and maybe a few rumbles of thunder Friday. Storms could have heavy rainfall, gusty winds and some small hail.
