Secrets in the City

PostSecret Web site leads to exhibit

Several years after PostSecret gained recognition for allowing anyone to submit an anonymous confession on a homemade postcard, creator and Maryland resident Frank Warren will give the community a sneak peak of things to come.

Warren’s art exhibit, "PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death and God," comes in time to promote his fifth book of the same title.

The opening reception of the art exhibition will take place Friday night from 6-9 p.m. at the Hillyer Art Space in Northwest.

Warren will sign copies of his latest book from 7-8:30 p.m. and DJ Fleg will entertain the crowd throughout the evening. Food and refreshments will also be served at the event.

A collection of over 100 anonymous postcards will be displayed conveying themes of spirituality, religion and faith. Visitors will also have the opportunity to leave their own secret on a postcard to pin in the gallery.

The cost of admission is a $5 donation. The art exhibition will be on display at the Hillyer Art Space until June 26.
