Robert Griffin III Makes Home Debut As Redskins Face Colts, Andrew Luck

Despite Robert Griffin III's attempt to downplay any sort of hoopla surrounding his first meeting against Andrew Luck, all eyes will be focused on them Saturday when the Washington Redskins host the Indianapolis Colts in their preseason home opener.

For the first time since being drafted first and second overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, Luck and Griffin -- who will be making his FedEx Field debut -- will be on opposing sidelines. Both have shown flashes of their potential in their respective team's first two games, but who tops who Saturday will surely be a topic of discussion.

According to head coach Mike Shanahan, RGIII could see playing time into the third quarter Saturday, but will not play three complete quarters. Meanwhile, Luck will likely do the same, according to head Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. The third preseason game is usually the one where the projected starters play the longest.

Elsewhere, running back Tim Hightower will see his first action of the preseason Saturday, but will not start. Hightower has been recovering from a torn ACL that ended his 2011 season last October.

The game will be broadcast live at 4 p.m. on NBC4 and CSN Mid-Atlantic.
