Proper Topper faces a scary prospect this Halloween -- at least on P Street in Georgetown. After almost a decade of business, the gifts, accessories and clothing store will be closing the doors on Oct. 31 at one of its two locations.
The upside? The Dupont location (1350 Connecticut Ave. N.W.) will remain open. And the Georgetown spot (3213 P St. N.W.) is currently hosting a "Wrap-It-Up" sale to lighten the load as it prepares to move remaining merch to Dupont.
Discounts will increase as D-Day draws nearer. The shop promises plenty of other in-store fun, including a Whoopie Pie pop-up bakery, hand & foot massages and "maybe a Halloween party... we're gonna miss you, P Street! We'll not go quietly into the night."
