When a trend reaches DC, you just KNOW it's gone mainstream. Hence, the Pink Slip Party that's been happening just about every month at the Lotus Lounge (1420 K St. NW). And when we say "pink slip," you also know we're not talking about a pastel-colored tutu. Although that would probably be a much happier party than the one that's actually going on.
The party planners bring human-resources types from multiple fields, so don't think it's just limited to down-in-the-dumps financiers. Although Lotus Lounge is generally known for its steep cover and pricy bottle service, this event is probably the one that'll end up going easy on your wallet.
