Obama Merch Sales Drop

As President Obama's approval rating drops, so do sales of merchandise featuring him.

Souvenir vendors in D.C. say sales have definitely fallen off since the height of what they call "Obama-mania," which was between the 2008 election and the inauguration.

Vendors say interest is increasing when it comes to anti-Obama shirts, with slogans like "You can keep the change" and "Don't tread on me."

But Obama's falling approval ratings are nothing new. Presidents usually see lower numbers about halfway through a term.
