Mike Isabella's Bandolero to Borrow Tackle Box

Tackle Box in Cleveland Park temporarily closing for a preview of Bandolero

D.C. foodies are still buzzing with excitement over with news of Mike Isabella's latest restaurant, but Bandolero is still under construction in Georgetown. In the meantime, Isabella is taking over Tackle Box in Cleveland Park.

Jonathan Umbel, owner of both restaurants, is temporarily closing Tackle Box's Cleveland Park location (3407 Connecticut Ave. NW) to make room for a preview of the Bandolero experience.

A $65 five-course menu will be offered on select evenings April 19 through May 4, featuring Mexican dips, tacos, enchiladas and other dishes with Isabella’s touches. Most courses will include a choice of dishes, as well as a vegetarian option, and options may change frequently.

Head mixologist Sam Babcock will offer a cocktail pairing, as well as a la carte beverages like his prickly pear margarita.

Walk-ins are welcome for dining or to imbibe at the bar; reservations are available exclusively through CityEats.

And on Cinco de Mayo, Bandolero at Tackle Box will be open all day serving food and drinks a la carte.
