Mastering the Art of Eating

Inox's "Julie & Julia"-inpsired menu

Want to taste Julia Child's French cuisine, but lacking the drive to sort through cookbooks thick as phonebooks? You're in luck. Inox (1800 Tysons Blvd., McLean, Va.) gives a nod to the new movie "Julie & Julia" (out Aug. 7) about Her Majesty Julia Child and blogger and super-fan Julie Powell.

Weekdays Aug. 3-31, Inox serves up Julia-inspired dishes via a  prix-fixe, three-course dinner tasting menu ($48) straight from "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." Think French salad or classic vichyssoise, casserole-roasted chicken with tarragon or smothered beef brisket and cherry clafouti. Is it just us, or are you suddenly starving, too?

And your cuisine will be in good hands. Exec chef Jon Mathieson was a featured chef at the 90th birthday celebration dinner of Julia Child herself. Plus, Inox, in partnership with Tysons AMC theater, is giving out movie tickets to guests who wish to catch the film afterwards.

Bon appetit!
