Man Arrested After Getting Robbed

Police say man flees from scene of sex assault, gets robbed

It could be called a case of what goes-around, comes-around, after a teenager actually helped to get himself arrested, police said.

According to the police report, Joshua David Zemaitis, 18, of Lorton, Va., sexually assaulted a woman in Woodbridge on Monday.

Zemaitis approached the woman in the 14000 block of Kramer Place and asked her for directions, police said. Investigators said after she gave him the information he wanted, he touched her inappropriately and took off.

A short time later, police got a call from a man who they later identified as Zemaitis. He told them that he had been robbed by a group of men near Prince William County Square.

When officers arrived, they recognized Zemaitis from the description that they were given by the victim of the sexual assault. Zemaitis was arrested and taken to jail.

The victim of the sexual assault was not physically injured.

Zemaitis remains in jail on $2,000 bond.
