SILVER SPRING, Md. -- Montgomery County police said a man who was fleeing a domestic dispute has died.
Authorities said Jose Olivar-Portillo, 28, had been involved in a dispute Saturday with a woman at an apartment building on Piney Branch Road. He fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police said Olivar-Portillo climbed a fence near the apartments, ran into a wooded area and fell about 30 feet from a steep slope. He landed onto the driveway of the apartment complex.
He died of his injuries at a hospital.
