So it might seem a little gauche to still be toting around a Coach logo bag or driving a block-long SUV these days. But Restaurant Week is a (nearly) guilt-free way to ignore the recession -- at least for a little bit. Get a two- or three-course meal at a nice restaurant for a flat rate, and it almost feels like you're saving money. (You know, as opposed to actually just cooking at home.)
Bethesda's Restaurant Week starts Monday and runs through Feb. 1, a yummy precursor to next month's DC Restaurant Week. Thirty-one spots are offering a prix-fixe two-course lunch for $12-$15 or a three-course dinner for $25-$30.
Participating restos include Jaleo Bethesda (you mean, they have entrees and not just tapas?! We're shocked), cozy and classy Old Angler's Inn, Assagi Mozzarella Bar and Raku Asian Diner. Make reservations now, because spots tend to fill up quickly. And you don't want to have to face reality if you don't have to, right?
