As part of Black Heritage Night at Nationals Park, our own Jim Vance threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Nationals faced the Diamondbacks in the second game of their three-game series Wednesday night.
Jim threw a high-strike to Tyler Clippard. I can't see the radar gun, but I'm sure Clippard had to shake his hand out once he returned to the bullpen. Or at least that's what I'm sure Jim would tell you.
Not bad for a septuagenarian. I mean that with all due respect, of course.
