Two of Indonesia's top designers have their sights set on Hollywood.
Oscar Lawalata is hoping to dress Julia Roberts, he revealed last night during an evening of Indonesian culture at the Ritz Carlton put on by the Indonesian Woven Cloths Association.
"She could wear them to a cocktail or evening event," he said.
Fellow designer Denny Wirawan had another megawatt celebrity in mind.
"I would love to dress Nicole Kidman," Wirawan, a former stage costume designer.
The design duo is traveling the world to showcase collections that -- while ready for the international red carpet -- are uniquely Indonesian.
"We get inspiration from our culture," said Lawalata. "Tradition is the basic idea, which we transform into clothes for modern lifestyles."
