What year is this again?
Not that we're complaining about tea at the Ritz, but we're trying to figure out how we ended up in 19th-century high society.
Then again, 19th-century high society probably didn't involve really hip $200 jeans. Regardless, the beyond-upscale hotel is teaming up with maker of coveted jeans 7 for All Mankind for afternoon tea with an updated -- and, obvs, fashionable -- twist.
The tea will be held Thursday, Aug. 13 at the new ENTYSE Restaurant & Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner (1700 Tysons Blvd., McLean, Va.).
Pinkies up, everyone! Nibble daintily at cupcakes and delicately quaff champagne while models strut around like they own the place, showing off new fashion trends.
Kiddos can attend the Peter Rabbit Tea, which offers PBJ, ham and cheese finger sandwiches, rabbit-shaped sugar cookies and Ghirardelli hot chocolate.
Call 703-506-4300 for reservations. Tickets are $40 per adult and $24 per child, not counting tax and tip. Ten percent of proceeds from the event will benefit the Wolf Trap Young Professional Society, which unites 20- and 30-somethings to promote the D.C. area's cultural scene.
