Here We Go, Yo: Formerly the solo moniker of bandleader Luke Temple, Brooklyn's Here We Go Magic is now a five-piece band that plays experimental indie-rock that brings to mind groups like Broken Social Scene and Grizzly Bear. Check 'em out tonight at Red Palace. $14; 8 p.m.
All of the Lights: The Cold Light exhibit at The Fridge gallery is a little like hanging out under a black light or playing laser tag, maybe both. Using fluorescent paint, fiber optics, and UV light, the installation's artists crate a psychedelic, luminescent space. Now through June 5. Free; 2 p.m to 7 p.m.
Heavy, but Interesting: Author Alexandra Styron will read from and discuss her new book, Reading My Father: A Memoir, tonight at Politics & Prose. The book details Styron's experiences as the daughter of famed novelist (William Styron, who wrote Sophie's Choice) and her father's struggles with depression. Free; 7 p.m.
