"Playing soccer with half the U.S. Women's Soccer team along with Kobe Bryant was a very humbling experience," wrote Pamela Brown on her facebook page.

One of the local media personalities chosen to participate in the annual Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra Celebrity Soccer Challenge, Brown joined U.S. Women’s National Team players Alex Morgan and Ali Krieger, NBA star Jeff Green, Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson, Former DC United and Hall of Famer Eddie Pope, FC Barcelona's John Harkes, legendary goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta and coach Pep Guardiola, and even more notables Sunday in a 7 on 7 soccer match to support the Mia Hamm Foundation.

Held at Kastles Stadium at the Wharf, Sunday's match was played in the nation's capital for the first time in the Challenge's history.

"My family is from Northern Virginia... my father lives here... so it feels good to be back," said Hamm while signing autographs after the match.  "And we're doing a lot of good here."
