From headphones to e-readers, Consumer Reports has some recommendations when it comes to electronics that'll make your vacation more enjoyable.

If you're headed to the beach, consider taking along the Nikon Coolpix AW 120 camera. It can take pictures under water and it is water proof up to 59 feet. It also performs well in low light.

For reading on the beach, Consumer Reports recommends the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. It has excellent readability in sunlight and the battery lasts up to 8 weeks, so you can leave the charger at home.

If your vacation is a little more action-packed, the JVC GC-XA2 Adixxion video camera will capture those moments. It's water proof up to 16 feet

Taking a road trip? The Polk Audio Nue Era Headphones are a Consumer Reports Best Buy. Consumer Reports says they limit the sound that escapes from the earpieces.
