As the first weekend of December approaches, the holiday events begin! This weekend kicks off your Christmas season with a visit to Old Town Alexandria to experience their Holiday Boat Parade.
This Saturday, Dec. 6, get a taste of the holidays as dozens of boats float along the river decked with holiday spirit. The day begins when Santa arrives at 4:15 p.m. for pictures with the kids. The boats will be passing the Old Town marina between 6 and 7 p.m.
Want to be a part of the parade? This year, the Capital Yacht, Celebrity, offers you a chance to be in the parade. Join others for a great night on the holiday yacht. Also included is a wine tasting and desert bar. Tickets are $65 per person or $120 per couple.
So head on down to Old Town and enjoy some free holiday fun. Collection boxes for Toys for Tots will be availalbe, so if you’re interested in donating, bring a toy.
