First ‘New Moon' Footage To Debut At MTV Movie Awards

"Twilight" fans will be glued to the upcoming 2009 MTV Movie Awards as the first footage of "New Moon" will debut during the show. According to E! Online's Marc Malkin, series stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will take the stage to present a clip from the film.

"Fans can tune-in to the show to see sneak peeks from three of the most highly anticipated movies of the year," show producer Mark Burnett said. "These clips have never been seen before and we're very excited that 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' is one of them."

This not the first time Twi-hards have been given a treat during the MTV Movie Awards. Last year a clip of Edward battling James (Cam Gigandet) made it's debut at the movie awards show. "Twilight" and "Slumdog Millionaire" lead the pack in nominations, with each receiving six.

"Saturday Night Live's" Andy Samberg will host the 18th annual MTV Movie Awards on May 31, with Eminem already confirmed for a performance. A complete list of presenters and performers has yet to be revealed. Fans can vote for their favorites in each category until May 31 at the MTV Movies Awards site.
