First Lady Michelle Obama proved she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. On Wednesday, June 15, she helped install a new playground at the Imagine Southeast Public Charter School on Alabama Avenue.

She told the crowd that constructing the playground was a "veryncool experience" and said she was proud to have a long associationnwith KaBOOM!, the nonprofit behind the project.

This playground is the 2,000th that KaBOOM! has built in the U.S. during its 15-year history. The group advocates for outdoor play as a critical part of children's physical, intellectual and emotional development.

For the first lady, this is just another way to get kids moving. This is the second time the first lady has helped the group construct a playground.
