First Lady Michelle Obama went out to dinner Thursday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
She ate at Eatonville Restaurant near U and 14th streets in Northwest Washington.
The restaurant sent a message via Twitter that said, “It was a dream come true and an honor to
have Michelle Obama here at Eatonville tonight for dinner.”
Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama told News4's Jim Vance that the first lady has enjoyed exploring what D.C. has to offer.
"Michelle and the girls have fully embraced Washington, because they can get out of the bubble a little more easily than I do," the president said. "If I go someplace, everybody's got to get magged and patted down, so I'm pretty disruptive."
