A father who shot and killed his daughter on Halloween called police after the shooting to tell them what he did, Anne Arundel County police say.
Donald John Bucalo, 62, called police to his home on Twin Oaks Road in Severn, Maryland, Wednesday afternoon. Police say Bucalo told the 911 dispatcher that he shot his daughter.
When officer's arrived, they found Bucalo sitting on the front porch of the home. Inside, they found 32-year-old Michelle Lyn Bucalo. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released a motive in the case, but they say the shooting was a targeted attack and not a random act of violence.
Donald Bucalo has been charged with first and second-degree murder in his daughter's death.
