UFC 99 in Germany, Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell in the Main Event?

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is getting ready for its first show in Germany.

Sherdog is reporting that UFC 99 will take place on June 13 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, the biggest indoor stadium in Germany, which seats 20,000 people. The Arena usually hosts ice hockey but has hosted a wide variety of events, including several WWE pro wrestling shows.

Some have suggested that Germany isn't ready for the UFC, but UFC President Dana White has said in the past that he considers Germany (along with Australia and the Philippines) to be the UFC's highest priority for international expansion.

So with the UFC getting ready to expand into a new country, who's in the main event? Bloody Elbow reported that the Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell fight would be the main event of the Germany show, and by all accounts that's the early favorite. I would tend to think that if Couture-Liddell 4 takes place, Las Vegas is a better location for it, but if the UFC wants to give German fans a couple of big names, well, names in MMA don't get any bigger.
