A Look at XFA: ‘Stand-Up MMA'

The Xtreme Fighting Association was profiled on Attack of the Show on the G4 channel. Here's a look:

For those who haven't seen the XFA, the organization bills its product as "stand-up MMA." In other words, there's nothing on the ground. It's probably the closest thing we have in the U.S. to Japan's K-1.

A lot of fans reflexively start booing when fights go to the ground, which would seem to indicate they'd love XFA-style fights. And yet full-fledged MMA is much more popular in the U.S. than kickboxing ever has been. So, if you're one of those fans who boos when the fight goes to the ground, why aren't you watching XFA?
