Eyebar, You Bar, We All Bar

No cover on Soho Tuesdays, Sensual Wednesdays

Paging Dr. Sketchy.

Sensual Wednesdays at Eyebar (1716 I St. NW) may sound a little creepy at first, like people "accidentally" standing too close while trying to get a drink (or, um, way worse, but we won't go there). But we assure you that the "Sensual" part is referring to the music. The two-level club hosts hip-hop, reggae and mash-ups on one floor, and Latin music on the other. But just to be on the safe side, we don't recommend this as an office hang-out. (Because, ew.)

So why are you gonna party on a weeknight? Look, we all know that Eyebar gets uncomfortably crowded on the weekends; plus, the cover charge isn't so recession-friendly. But Soho Tuesdays (hip-hop on both floors) and Sensual Wednesdays (yeah, still sounds creepy) have free admission, though the dress code is still applicable. So if you're happily unemployed and have nothing to get up for in the morning -- or unhappily employed and too stressed to sleep, anyway -- Tuesday or Wednesday nights at Eyebar might be the way to go.

FYI: If you haven't been by in awhile (or ever), Eyebar was renovated last August, allowing for better sound and easier navigation. Table service is available for those unaffected by the recession.
