Exclusive: New Cocktails at Bourbon

Mixologist JP Caceres (of Jack Rose Saloon and Bourbon Steak) recently announced that he was hard at work redesigning Bourbon's new cocktail menu in Glover Park, and finally, it's ready. The Feast has the exclusive details on the menu, which feature several multi-ingredient, food and herb-inspired cocktails. Here are a few that have us excited:

The Colonel Glover's Rickey. This twist on the traditional cocktail features Plymouth London dry gin, fresh lime juice, soda water, and housemade strawberry shrub. 'Shrub' is an old Arabic word for 'drink,' and in this case involves toasting coriander and cooking it on a high flame with strawberries, brown sugar, and a red wine vinaigrette.

The Cathedral. This drink's name is fitting, considering that it's heavy on the rosemary, which is mentioned several times in the Bible. A cinnamon stick is wrapped in a rosemary sprig, dipped in Willet 114-proof, then set afire. A mixture of rye whiskey, Benedictine liqueur, and Peychaud's bitters is then poured over it.

The Bufalo Negro. Balsamic vinegar in a cocktail? Why not. This sweet and savory cocktail mixes bourbon, simple syrup, aged balsamic vinegar, and basil leaves.

The Cucumber Cooler. Best for a hot day, this vodka-based drink features cucumbers, mint simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and Jerry Thomas bitters.
