Vegetarian Eating's Not Good at Reagan National

Study says vegetarian options are hard to find

If you're heading through Reagan National Airport, it could be tough for you to find a healthy meal.

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a group that promotes vegetarian diets, studied the percentage of airport restaurants that offered at least one low-fat, cholesterol-free, vegetarian entree.

Fifteen of the nation's busiest airports were included in the study. As a whole, about 80 percent of the restaurants offered at least one healthy option, but only 60 percent of the restaurants at Reagan fit the bill.

The findings aren't all bad, though, researchers said. Reagan's score climbed 18 points this year -- the biggest improvement in the study.
