WASHINGTON -- Two Washington marching bands have been chosen to perform in the inaugural parade.
The bands from Dunbar Senior High School in northwest D.C. and Howard University found out Tuesday they made the cut.
Kevin Griffis, a Presidential Inaugural Committee spokesman, said officials received 1,382 applications from bands across the country. They are notifying chosen bands on a rolling basis.
The committee is still finalizing how many groups will participate but expects it to be between 70 to 90 bands, Griffis said.
