Dished: Trenta-Sized Portions Around Town

  • Everyone was, erm, captivated over the weekend by the fact that Starbucks' new Trenta size can hold an entire bottle's worth of wine. But Starbucks is hardly the only company to supersize their offerings. Check out this gallery of crazy-huge portions here in D.C.
  • Today's Living Social deal is a doozy: $30 for $60 worth of Belgian fare at chef Robert Wiedmaier's Brasserie Beck (1101 K St. N.W.). Named one of the best new restaurants in America by Esquire in 2007, the eatery boasts an impressive beer menu and dishes like Long Island duck cassoulet, crispy veal sweetbreads and seasonal oysters. More deals at The Feast.
  • Granville Moore's (1238 H St. N.E.) has expanded their popular brunch to include Sundays, as of this past weekend. Dishes include bison bruschetta, fried French toast "stix," mussels marinière and more. Shortly after opening in 2007, the Belgian-tinged gastropub began experimenting with a limited brunch service once a month. In late 2010, it expanded brunch to Saturdays -- and was so popular that a full weekend brunch was a no-brainer.
