VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A Virginia Beach police officer has been injured after he crashed his cruiser while trying to conduct a traffic stop.
Local news agencies report that police say the incident happened late Wednesday night near Interstate 264.
Police say the unidentified officer was attempting to perform a traffic stop when the crash occurred.
No other vehicles were involved.
The officer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Investigators have not released any details about how or why he crashed.
