VCU to Test Emergency Alert Systems

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia Commonwealth University will test its sirens and other emergency communication systems this week.

The school says the testing will take place Wednesday at noon.

VCU will be testing its 10 sirens throughout the Monroe Park and MCV campuses and sending test alert messages via text message and email.

It will also be posting emergency messages on its Twitter account and Facebook page and on digital displays and devices installed in classrooms and residence halls.
