Va. County Makes It Easier to Open Tattoo Parlors, Adult Stores

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (AP) — Isle of Wight County is making it easier for people to open tattoo parlors and adult entertainment businesses.

The Daily Press reports (http://bit.ly/2fzN42W) that the county has loosened several zoning restrictions to encourage businesses.

Until now, adult entertainment businesses were virtually blocked. They couldn’t exist within a mile of a school, church or residential area. The restriction is now 2,500 feet. And tattoo parlors are no longer under the adult entertainment designation, making it easier for them to open.

Other changes include making it easier for people to gunsmith as a home occupation. People living in agricultural conservation areas will also find it easier to host flea markets on their properties.
