Trash Fire at Fairfax Co. Recycling Center Under Control

WASHINGTON — Firefighters on Friday morning were finishing up work on a large fire that broke out late Thursday night at the recycling and disposal center in Fairfax County.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says three stories of trash caught fire inside the Lorton incinerator, and the flames spread out of control.

The fire is now under control. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
