WASHINGTON — A Montgomery County, Maryland, school caught the attention of Hollywood with its egg-stremely messy fundraiser.
Fields Road Elementary in Gaithersburg held a Read-a-Thon to help the school purchase standing desks, blue tooth speakers and more in support of its “Move More” theme.
To reach the goal of $13,000, principal Erica Williams and assistant principal Kristi Ricca engaged in the “Egg Russian Roulette” challenge, a segment frequently featured in “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
The school met its goal.

But there’s more. Jimmy Fallon found out about the school’s fundraiser, and with partner Reddi-whip, added $13,000 to the amount raised, making the total more than $26,000.
Hey @Principal_FRES and @FieldsRoadES_AP, congrats on your record-breaking Read-A-Thon! Check out our show tonight for a surprise!
