Teen Arrested, Charged With 11 Robberies in DC

WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police have arrested a teenager in connection to 11 robberies in the Washington area that involved guns, knives, a baton and nunchucks.

Police say the 16-year-old suspect was arrested on Saturday, and is accused of taking part in many robberies, along with other individuals, between May 6 and June 21.

The attacks involved a group of assailants robbing and sometimes assaulting an individual victim.

Eight attacks took place between June 17 and June 19.

Most of the attacks involved a knife or gun, but on two occasions the suspect used a baton. In a June 17 attack, the suspect used nunchucks to assault the victim and steal a cellphone.

Police have not identified the teen because of his age.
