Shooting Investigation Closes Route 50 in Pr. George's Co.

WASHINGTON — Three people were transported to an area hospital after a shooting Thursday afternoon. The investigation has closed the eastbound lanes of Route 50 in Prince George’s County.

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS and police responded to investigate the shooting around 3 p.m. on Route 50 between Route 201 and Columbia Park Road.

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS transported three patients to an area hospital, said Fire & EMS spokesman Mark Brady. Officials have not released details about the patients’ conditions.

The investigation has closed all lanes of eastbound Route 50 between Route 201 and Columbia Park Road and all but one lane of westbound Route 50.

Officials have not released any additional details about the shooting at this time.
