Sen. Cardin to Discuss Health Care, Affordable Housing

BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin is hosting events to discuss health care and affordable housing.

The two events are scheduled in Baltimore on Friday.

Cardin will join the staff of MedStar Franklin Square Hospital and community members for a town hall-style forum on health care.

The Maryland Democrat has been strongly critical of Republican efforts in Congress to dismantle Barack Obama’s health care law.

The senator also will convene a roundtable discussion with a group of advocates for affordable housing to talk about recent successes and anticipate coming challenges for efforts to expand affordable housing solutions in Baltimore.
