WASHINGTON — Steve Scalise has been re-admitted to an intensive care unit “due to new concerns for infection,” according to officials at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
The House majority whip’s condition Wednesday evening was listed as serious.
Scalise was critically wounded in the June 14 shooting at an Alexandria baseball field that wounded three others. The gunman was killed.
The congressman, who has undergone multiple procedures as part of his recovery, was listed in fair condition as recently as June 23.
