VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — Regent University says a student was treated for minor injuries after an attack on campus and police are searching for a suspect.
The private Virginia Beach university said in a statement that an assault was reported at a residence hall early Tuesday morning. The statement says the female victim was “attacked and wounded by a male subject.”
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The unknown suspect was described as a thin white male, approximately 5 feet 10 or 11 inches tall, wearing a dark hoodie over his face. He was last seen at the dorm, Foundation Hall, between 5:30 and 6 a.m.
Virginia Beach Police and campus police are investigating.
