WASHINGTON — At least one person was trapped in an apartment building in Fort Washington after a fire broke out Sunday morning, Prince George’s County Fire officials said.
According to authorities, everyone was able to get out of the building, but several people were hurt.
None of the injuries appear serious, they said.
Some residents jumped from the balconies to escape the fire, the fire department said.
Officials did not say whether their injuries were sustained from the jump or from the blaze.
Fire crews are still at the scene of the blaze.
